THE ruling British Labour party in Bristol, United Kingdom has joined hands with the MDC-UK to host a memorial service for the late MDC-T legislator John Nyamande, The Zim Diaspora can reveal.

The late Nyamande talks to local Bristol members of the community during his visit
Many party supporters here have welcomed the planned memorial service involving the Labour party. They said such a service was necessary in marking the passing away of a real hero.
Nyamande, the MDC-T legislator for Makoni Central and former MDC-UK interim chairman died in a mysterious road accident a fortnight ago when his official twin cab he was driving hit an unidentified truck stationary in the middle of the highway along Rusape-Harare road in Ruwa.
When the news of his death reached London where he had sharpened his political skills, supporters were shattered and devastated. Nyamande later put into practice his British-acquired skills in the violent Makoni Central campaign.
Nyamande was one politician who penetrated institutionalised socio-political barriers and they all loved him. No wonder why today the local Labour party has announced its willingness to be involved in his symbolic remembrance.
A spokesman said the memorial service has been planned for Bristol where Mr Nyamande had established a healthy working relationship with the local Labour party.
The party's Bristol chairman Mr Morgan Mutasa confirmed that he had been approached by the local Labour officials who indicated their willingness to be part of the Nyamande memorial service.
"We have since passed on this information to other party cadres who have also shown a lot of support. We are now waiting for the Nyamande family who are still in Zimbabwe. Once they are back in Britain we will then approach them," said Mr Mutasa.
Mr Mutasa said the Labour interest stems from the fact that, on Nyamande's numerous visits to the MDC-Bristol branch, he linked-up very well with Labour officials leading up to a healthy working relationship between the two parties.
He said, aboveall, Mr Nyamande was instrumental in the formation of the MDC Bristol branch.
Meanwhile, MDC-UK officials have praised the late Nyamande for his sterling work and bravery, describing him as a "fallen hero".
The MDC-UK provincial chairman Mr Jonathan Chawora said: "Mr Nyamande was a true party cadre. I had a very good working relationship with him. I had also known him for a very long time".
PM Tsvangirai's former deputy chief to the United Kingdom, Ms Emily Madamombe said she was devastated by the loss of a party cadre par excellence.
"I worked with Nyamande very closely when I was the MDC Leicester chairperson. We held several meetings together, we brainstormed and each time I found Mr Nyamande to be an asset to the party".
Former MDC-UK chairman Mr Washington Ali said: "Mr Nyamande attended the first MDC meeting in the UK at South End which is my branch. Though he had come from a ZANU-PF background, he was so progressive and always wanted the party to move forward".
Mr Ali described the late Nyamande as a hero who swapped the comforts of London to a Makoni battlefield against President Mugabe's most trusted ally, Patrick Chinamasa whom Nyamande stood against for the Makoni seat.
"John was for justice and he showed it in parliament. There are very few brave politicians like him in our time. For that we salute him, may he Rest In Peace," said Mr Ali.
The South End chairman, Mr Stanford Biti said Mr Nyamande's heroic and successful political career was groomed and guided in South End.
"I remember when he first arrived in the UK, and when he came to South End to join the party. We welcomed him and he told us of his long term ambitions which he later achieved," said Mr Biti.
Ms Abigail Mpahlo of Oxford branch said Mr Nyamande would be remembered as a fighter and winner.
"He took on Chinamasa in Makoni and he won. That campaign was fierce, but he won it," she said.

You never know what may exactly be in the heart of a crocodile that comes to moan its victim. It could be genuine remorse or not, you exactly do not know and for you to show dislike of that defeats the purpose of a funeral - to congregate and help the relatives of the deceased to evercome grief.
You can only say crocodile tears if indeed the crocodile indicates its pleasure at the news of death.

What a confusion?

But thats not true what you are saying now. Look at the Nyamande picture even published by zim diaspora, it was taken in Bristol, so if Nyamande was not in good books with Bristol so why was he posing for pictures there? I think you guys are just creating something for the sake if it. Labour govt knows Nyamande through Bristol, not through Birmingham, and the only request to host the Nyamande thing by Labour came from Bristol, I think guys you must respect the Dead.

My analysis is not based on any personality or political party, but is a simple reflection of a funeral.
Sometimes the witch that killed the deceased is allowed to moan the victim and is not dealt with on the occasion of the funeral. Why this is done is from the basis that you never know what has given the witch all the courage to come and moan where sometimes he/she may risk life. Maybe from the sorrow of the moaners, the witch will abandon witchcraft.
Witchhunting is done later after the funeral - that is my point. Honestly I do not follow politics.
Ryton, you seem to be resident in my mind these days, so everytime I have an idea, you will be the first to read my registers and expound my ideas in advance perhaps.

Reference is made to your email below and the response of the Youth Executive is as follows:-
Please can you enlighten our Youth Executive, where in the MDC Constitution an interim Chairman can try to coerce and intimidate a substantive duly elected Youth Chairman to resign or step down from his position?
How can you ask the Youth Chairman to resign from his post and yet you did not vote him into office. Just to take you back a bit in case your memory is obscured, in 2006 at Congress in Oxford the Youth members (Assembly) those aged 35 and below voted the Youth Chairman into office. As we all know you and other members of the Co-ordinating committee did not participate in those elections hence you have no mandate whatsoever to ask the Youth Chairman to resign.
Further, there are other people in the Province who are campaigning for leadership posts and have you since written to all these Branch chairs, etc and asked them to resign from their posts?
Has the Coordinating Committee Secretary received any communication that the Youth Chairman has been nominated for any posts that will be contested at Congress? Has the Youth Chairman accepted any nomination? And are you personally trying to tell the Youth Executive and assembly that you have predetermined the outcome of Congress, 2008?
The Youth Assembly are guardians and custodians of the Party and we will not sit down and turn a blind eye whilst you and members of the main wing try to stick your dirty fingers into the affairs of the Assembly. We, the Youth Executive, have unanimously agreed that you are in serious breach of the Constitution and you are trying to abuse a position of power. Since you were nominated and or volunteered into office you have made no efforts whatsoever to engage the Youth Assembly. The Youth Executive waited patiently for you as a leader and father to congratulate us for having withstood the difficulties in the Province and managing to maintain a solid and intact structure. However, you have instead written letters to our Chairman which up until now we have felt no need to reply in order to maintain unity and peace within the Party. The Youth Executive, through our Chairman proposed that a clearly funded programme be set up to ‘clean up and sort out’ rebellious branches following the dissolution of the Tapa led Executive. This capacity building exercise would have resulted in retaining our membership as well as gaining the trust and confidence of Party supporters. The Youth Executive also reported through our Chairman that no branches be opened until after the Congress. These proposals fell upon deaf ears and were dismissed and ignored by the Co-ordinating Committee.
It is important that you understand and take note of the following:-
Under the leadership of our Youth Chairman, the Assembly has grown tremendously. Never in the history of MDC-UK politics has there been such a vibrant and outspoken Youth Chairman who has ensured that the role of the Youth is acknowledged and recognised.
The Youth Chairman is popular on the ground and his popularity is not a crime.
The Youth Assembly shall not be told how to choose our leader, when to choose our leader and whom to choose as our leader. In fact, the Youth assembly are very capable of determining our own destiny.
The Youth Assembly shall not accept any victimisation or intimidation to the Youth Chairman or any other member of the Youth Executive who may wish to further their political aspirations.
The Youth Executive is a substantive solid structure and no interference will be tolerated from anyone who is not a substantive bonafide member of the assembly. The Acting National Chairman, Honourable MP Lovemore Moyo was very clear on 13th November, 2007 when he dissolved the Executive led by Mr Ephraim Tapa and the Women’s Executive led by Mrs Adella Mutero. No dissolution was made of the Youth Executive and therefore we advise you to stop forthwith any action whatsoever to dissolve our Executive and dismiss the Youth Chairman. This is when members of the main wing would say that the Youth Assembly is not respectful to its elders and the leadership and yet such actions are intimidatory, provactive and disrespectful of the Youth Assembly and its leadership.
Usatambe Ne ASSEMBLY shasha………………THE YOUTH SHALL LIBERATE ZIMBABWE!!!!!!!!
