The recount in a number of constituencies in Zimbabwe is futile because ballot boxes have been tampered with, says a South African member of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) observer team.

Up to 44 Zimbabweans based in the United Kingdom have been placed on President Mugabe’s hit list for allegedly campaigning for a regime change in Zimbabwe.

Most of the blacklisted are members of the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC).

The list, in the hands of the notorious Central Intelligence Organization (CIO) include Hebson Makuvise, Elliot Pfebve, Ephraim Tapa, Patson Muzuwa, Emily Madamombe, Charles Masawi, Chrispen Joseph, Chrispen Kulinji, Prosper Kasalika, Suzzate Kwenda, Rose Benton, Mithcell Neki, Clement Hwandi, Tsitsi Machikiti, Chipo Machinda, Lindiwe Dube, Mebo Ndoro, Cuthbert Chisango, Lorraine Mutasa, Israel Mutanhaurwa, Julius Mutyambizi, Sibongile Mumbama, Wesley Tamangani, Adela Chiminya, Patrick Gore, Jameson Mashakada, Bernard Nyoni, Jeremiah Mutotela, Abiya Gwene, Butholezwe Dube, Tawanda Chikwanha, Judith Gwevhu, Fungisai Chapangara, Portia Muchina, Francisca Jakope, Dumezweni Thuthane, Farai Madamombe, Duduzile Makotore, Dickson Magagada, Langton Chigodo, Sithatshisiwe Dube, Talkmore Bvururu, Brian Marijena, and Letwin Mazura.

The CIO external intelligence agents in the UK claim that the blacklisted are working with the Brtish government to topple Zimbabwe’s aged leader who has ruled the southern African nation for 28 years.

Intelligence sources said those blacklisted could face persecution and purging from Mugabe’s ruthless state apparatus upon returning home.

The blacklisted are among thousands of Zimbabweans who have fled the country between 2001 and 2007.

Most of the listed include those who publicly demonstrated against Mugabe in the Portugal Summit and those wanted for their opposition political role.

President Mugabe’s CIOs have since 2000 tortured, beaten and harassed anyone linked to the opposition party or perceived to be anti-Mugabe’s regime.
